InVision Productions and Lion Television (both of London) have formed a partnership in order to develop high-end series and kick-start current commissions. The partners hope that the new informal agreement will be mutually beneficial. InVision, headed by Bill Cran, will be able to leverage Lion’s infrastructure and investment potential, while for its part, Lion will be able to bank on the clout the smaller prodco brings with them. InVision is generally known throughout the industry for its high-end historical and investigative efforts.

In a separate move, Lion will also be investing over £500,000 (US$796,000) over the next two years into a new drama department.
