U.K.-based broadcast entity Granada Media has wasted no time in implementing changes at London distributor ITEL. No announcement has been made as to the name of the new company, which will combine ITEL’s resources with those of Granada’s existing distribution arm, Granada International. Nadine Nohr has been appointed managing director and Ian Jones as deputy md. Nohr was previously md of Granada International and Jones was chief operating officer at ITEL.

ITEL’s transfer from United was pending shareholders’ approval, but the deal finally went through during this year’s MIPCOM. The transaction is part of a larger deal between United and Granada, in which the former has agreed to sell its television assets to the latter.
