Norm BolenAlliance Atlantis Broadcasting has continued to make changes to its management team. Norm Bolen has been promoted to executive VP, programming; Barb Williams has climbed to senior VP, lifestyle programming; and Sydney Suissa was elevated to senior VP, factual programming.

Also at AA Broadcasting, Janet Eastwood was appointed executive VP, marketing, communications and creative services; Kathleen Brown was named senior VP, business and legal affairs; and Bradley Alles was appointed senior VP, sales and promotions.

Discovery Communications’ recent structural changes have resulted in a number of new appointments: Daniel Fischer assumes the position of executive VP, strategic planning; Dara Altman has been named senior VP for business affairs; and Chris Miller takes the post of executive VP, marketing.

The senior management department for Discovery’s new Consumer Products Division includes: Frank Rosales as executive VP in charge of operations; Keith Harband as senior VP, marketing; and Tom Burke who continues to serve as senior VP, e-commerce and catalogs.

Italian pubcaster RAI has appointed Claudio Cappon director general. He succeeds Peirluigi Celli.

The BBC has named Rachel Innes-Lumsden head of development for leisure and factual entertainment, and Fenia Vardanis now takes responsibility for in-house and commissioned daytime shows (terrestrial channels).

Douglas DePriestDouglas DePriest has been elevated to VP, production and development at Travel Channel.

National Geographic Channel Europe has named Caroline Spinney senior U.K. marketing manager, and Guy Slattery as head of promotions and presentation.

Meredith WagnerTwo new appointments have been announced at Lifetime Television: Trevor Walton has been hired as senior VP, original movies and Meredith Wagner has been promoted to executive VP, public affairs and corporate communications.

Public broadcaster WETA executive VP Dalton Delan will succeed CNN’s Vivian Schiller as president of CINE.

The Sheffield International Documentary Film Festival has appointed Sirkka Moeller festival programmer.

Canada’s Vision TV continues to shuffle its upper management: Susan Bower has been appointed VP of finance and administration; and Alberta Nokes has been given the post of VP of communications.

Atlas Media in New York has hired Karen Hanley to the newly created position head of business development and special projects.

Amy Girdwood has been appointed VP, international human resources for Discovery Networks, International.

Corinna Sadlo has accepted a position with Igel Media as head of corporate marketing.
