The winds of change are again blowing through Discovery, this time at Discovery Health. Executive vice president and general manager Kathy Quattrone has announced her resignation from the post she has held since spring of 1999. She joined Discovery Health a few months prior to the channel’s launch, after a stint as VP of programming services at PBS. Quattrone’s last day will be June 29.

John Ford, president of the recently created Content Group for Discovery Networks U.S., will be conducting a search to name Quattrone’s replacement. Donald Thoms, VP of production, will step into Quattrone’s shoes in the interim.

Quattrone’s departure comes three months after husband Mike Quattrone left his position as executive VP and GM of the U.S. Discovery Channel. A Discovery Health spokesperson says the Quattrones will be relocating to the eastern shore.
