E! Networks appoints new VP, international channels; CBC Newsworld names new commissioning editor of doc series Rough Cuts; Nielsen Media elevates former president and COO.

Michelle Y. Levesque joins U.S.-based E! Networks as VP, international channels. She was previously director, financial planning and analysis for Universal Television Networks Group.

Andrew Johnson is the new commissioning editor for the CBC Newsworld documentary series Rough Cuts. Johnson joined the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in 1994 and prior to that, worked in independent documentary production.

Susan Whiting was promoted to the post of president and CEO at Nielsen Media Research. Whiting was previously president and COO and succeeds John Dimling.

Deirdre Barry has joined U.S.-based Monster Distributes as VP of sales and acquisitions. Barry was previously VP of sales for Takes on Productions and Distribution.

Some shake-ups at Court TV‘s daytime division: Rita Barry-Corke becomes executive producer of legal news specials; Emily Barsh is co-executive producer of Catherine Crier Live; Barri Chattman becomes VP of talent development and daytime booking; Tim Sullivan is vice-president, daytime; and Wendy Whitman becomes executive producer, daytime.
