Yesterday, US net TV Land announced TV Land Prime, a new primetime block catering to the early 40-year-old set.

Looking to lower the median viewer age from 50 to 40 through the use of more original programming, TV Land again introduces new reality shows that appeal to the older generation.

Debuting October 6, TV Land Prime will air on the weekday nights from 9 p.m. to midnight. This programming block will feature old favorites like returning original series She’s Got the Look and High School Reunion, as well as introduce new reality shows like The Cougar, First Love/Second Chance from Granada Entertainment USA, British format I’ve Got Your Number from FremantleMedia and How Rich Are You from Mark Burnett and Zoo TV.

Reality that focuses on empty nesters in RDF’s Now or Never and Evolution Media’s Boomerangers, about young adults returning home post-college to live with their parents are well suited for TV Land.

Along with new shows announced, TV Land also announced new logos and on-air graphics to partner with the new feel of the network.
