ITV will cut 1,000 jobs by 2009

Approximately 1,000 jobs will be cut at commercial broadcaster ITV by March 2009 in an effort to save money. This announcement is a continuation of the September 2007 ITV Turnaround Strategy, which cut 425 positions already. ITV's goal is to sustain the £1 billion investment in UK content.
