Sky’s Woolfe comes to Five

Richard Woolfe is leaving his current role of director of programs for Sky 1, 2 and 3 and will be moving to Five as channel controller. At the same time Ben Gale, current director of programs at Five, will be leaving the broadcaster.

Richard Woolfe is leaving his current role of director of programs for Sky 1, 2 and 3 will be moving to Five as channel controller. At the same time Ben Gale, current director of programs at Five, will be leaving the broadcaster.

In his new role at Five, Woolfe will be responsible for commissioning, scheduling and strategy for Five. Woolfe will report to Dawn Airey who hired Woolfe to run Sky1 in 2006, snatching him up from his role of director of programming Living TV, Ftn & Bravo. Prior to working at Living Woolfe held roles at Planet 24, Granada TV, BBC and Real Television.

At Five Woolfe will sit on the executive board and work with Jeff Ford, another new hire at Five who will join next year as managing director of digital channels and acquisitions.
