Animal Gladiators head to Animal Planet

'Are you not entertained?' As Russell Crow memorably asked in Gladiator, a different tone is taken with Animal Gladiators, which explores why it was entertaining for ancient Rome's gladiators to slaughter 9,000 animals. KPI, a unit of Lightworks Producing Group, has produced the two-hour one-off which airs on Animal Planet on December 14.
