Another major network announces cuts earlier this week. CBS Entertainment and CBS Paramount Network TV laid off employees on Monday, which include both lower level staff and key executives.

EVP Maria Crenna was let go, along with VP of current programming Jocelyn Freid and Brian Banks, the SVP head of comedy. Crenna and Banks had both been with CBS for 11 years. CBS’s development departments were spared any cuts.

It is believed that approximately 30 employees are fired in the cuts. Reports also say that CBS has no plans to merge the network and studio operations, which other major networks have either already done, or are currently considering.
