Cablevision pulls plug on Voom

Cablevision Systems Corp. has announced that Voom HD Networks for U.S. markets will be no more in late January. Voom was also carried on satellite TV operator Dish Network Corp. until last May. Layoffs will occur, but some staff will stay on for Voom's international operations.
