Endemol appoints deputy COO

Endemol has announced the appointment of Martha Brass as deputy chief operating officer. She takes up her post in Endemol’s London offices today.

Brass comes to Endemol from CPH Group where she held various senior positions including commercial director of the CPH Group and managing director of Amaze TV. She has also held positions at Simon Fuller’s 19 Entertainment where she was executive VP and head of television and FremantleMedia where she held roles such as CEO of FremantleMedia North America, CEO Southern Europe and South Africa, commercial director for Fremantle Production and commercial and finance director for Fremantle International Distribution.

Brass will report to Endemol Group’s CEO Marco Bassetti. ’2009 is set to be an extremely challenging year for the whole industry, which makes having people of Martha’s caliber more important than ever,’ said Bassetti in a statement. ‘I’m very much looking forward to working with her.’
