Producers Guild announces nominations

The 2009 nominees for the Producers Guild of America awards have been announced. Man on Wire, Standard Operating Procedure and Trouble the Water are contenders for the Producer of the Year Award in Documentary Theatrical Motion Pictures, while Deadliest Catch, Frontline, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, 60 Minutes and This American Life are up for Producer of the Year Award in Non-Fiction Television. Not forgetting reality shows, The Amazing Race, Project Runway and Top Chef are competing for the award in Live Entertainment and Competition Television against The Colbert Report and Real Time with Bill Maher.
