Fremantle takes legal action against Swiss channel

FremantleMedia is taking legal action against Swiss channel 3+ TV Network over a copied format. The London-based production and distribution company is filing a suit against the channel for a violation of Swiss unfair competition laws over the show Bauer, Ledig, Sucht (Farmer, Single, Looking), which is airing on 3+ and resembles FremantleMedia's format Farmer Wants a Wife. FremantleMedia's production arm held discussions with 3+ over the format but never made a deal, and then 3+ released Bauer, Ledig, Sucht.
