Sundance appoints new festival director

The Sundance Institute has announced the appointment of John Cooper as director of the Sundance Film Festival. Cooper moves up from his previous positions at Sundance: director, creative development and director of programming. Barry Walsh is editor and content director for realscreen, and has served as editor of the publication since 2009.
