‘The Cove’ wins audience award at Hot Docs

Once the final film ended at Hot Docs last night, the ballots were tallied and the verdict is in; the most popular film with Hot Docs audiences this year was The Cove. The doc on famous dolphin trainer Richard O'Barry's infiltration of a cove in Taiji, Japan to end the slaughter of dolphins, also won the audience award at Sundance this year. 65_Redroses, the story of a group of women with cystic fibrosis who meet online, came in second. Once the final film ended at Hot Docs last night, the ballots were tallied and the verdict is in; the most popular film with Hot Docs audiences this year was The Cove.
