History and Jane Root tackle story of America

History has greenlit an epic undertaking: a 12 part series which links many key events in American history to tell the entire story of America entitled America The Story of Us. The project will be led by Jane Root and will take a look at moments in American history, events both small and large, showing how they're linked to the settlement and development of America and how technology overcame the environment. The project, which will air in 2010, is being produced by new prodco Nutopia, started by Jane Root, the former president of Discovery Channel and a founder of Wall to Wall Television. David McKillop and Julian P Hobbs from History are executive producing.

History has greenlit an epic undertaking: a 12-part series entitled America The Story of Us, which links many key events in American history to recount the nation’s history.
