Managing director of October Films, Denman Rooke, studied film at the University of Westminster, directed music videos and commercials in the late 1980s, and ran his own independent production company before joining October in 1995. But he has a few other tidbits about himself that he decided to share with realscreen.

1. I was once fed ripe mangoes by Charlotte Rampling
2. My first ever job was fishing out prawns from the bottom of the Mozambique channel
3. My spare time is taken up by two boys and an aeroplane: the plane is cheaper and quieter
