Charles Tremayne, most recently the East Coast-based EVP for RDF USA, is heading to Cineflix Productions this month as executive vice president of programming. He will be charged with overseeing Cineflix’s factual programming in the US and UK, and with opening and heading up the company’s New York office.

Tremayne had been with RDF USA since 2007, following time at Granada America as VP. ‘I have greatly enjoyed my time at RDF but this exciting opportunity takes me back to my roots in factual programs,’ said Tremayne in a statement. ‘I have watched Cineflix grow from being a small Canadian producer to becoming one of the leading production companies in the world. It is the right time to join a forward looking company at a pivotal moment in their growth.’

Tremayne will be reporting to Cineflix programming president Simon Lloyd, who had this to be about the appointment: ‘Charles is a truly outstanding individual with an exceptional track record in creating and producing hit shows in the UK and North America. His range and depth of programming experience and his creative vision are truly impressive as is his personal and professional integrity. Charles will be joining a senior creative team that must now rank as one of the strongest in TV.’
