Harry Marshall is the co-founder of Bristol-based prodco Icon Films with his wife Laura. Here, the executive producer of Animal Planet’s hit series River Monsters shares three things with realscreen that people wouldn’t generally know, including something about Donald Sutherland’s dedication to the perfect voice over.

1. Before starting work at Channel 4 on youth programs I was living in a monastery in the Himalayas.
2. When I was working for NHK, my Japanese translator was sacked after I said they were invaluable.
3. Donald Sutherland once undressed to his underpants in front of me in a voice over session to prevent clothes-rustle.
