Endemol exec joins BBC Worldwide

Endemol's head of business development, Jacob de Boer, is joining the BBC's commercial arm, BBC Worldwide, as commercial director. In his new position de Boer will work across all the brand in BBC Worldwide's portfolio to help grow the brands. Reporting directly to Marcus Arther, MD Global Brands, he will work in conjunction with the managing directors and commercial directors of BBC Earth, Top Gear and Doctor Who to increase the profitability across multiple formats and markets. De Boer is a trained lawyer who started his career at Endemol Entertainment in Holland as legal and business affairs counsel and became head of business affairs of the international distribution division two years later.
