Endemol announces Swiss management handover

Endemol has announced the appointment of Christoph Bürge as managing director of b&b Endemol, Switzerland. Bürge has 15 years experience in TV, having worked with broadcasters throughout Europe including TV3 in Switzerland, SBS in Romania, TV2 in Hungary, Swiss National Television in Switzerland and most recently, Sat1 in Germany. While working as CEO at SBS, Bürge worked closely with Endemol on the global formats Deal or No Deal and Big Brother, and brought the first two series of Big Brother to TV3 in Switzerland and TV2 Hungary. He takes the position on February 1, 2010, succeeding Hannes Bichsel, who is stepping down after 10 years, but will continue as a consultant and shareholder.
