DIY names next home improvement star

DIY Network has announced Kayleen McCabe as winner of Stud Finder 2009, DIY's nationwide search to find its next network star. McCabe was selected out of more than 1,000 entries and was the victor among the five finalists who competed in a series of how-to challenges. Stud Finder 2009, an hour-long special premiering on November 20, will show McCabe's journey toward becoming the first female winner of DIY Network's Stud Finder competition. She will host her own DIY Network show in 2010.

DIY Network has announced Kayleen McCabe as winner of Stud Finder 2009, DIY’s nationwide search to find its next network star. McCabe was selected out of more than 1,000 entries and was the victor among the five finalists who competed in a series of how-to challenges. Stud Finder 2009, an hour-long special premiering on November 20, will show McCabe’s journey toward becoming the first female winner of DIY Network’s Stud Finder competition. She will host her own DIY Network show in 2010.
