Outright Distribution announces new hire and fund

Outright Distribution is investing in first look deals and investments with the launch of a significant new fund. The money will be available at the beginning of 2010, and will fund primarily UK and U.S. content. Outright is looking for factual entertainment series with returning potential as well as light entertainment and other unique projects. The plan was approved by the Board of Shed Media PLC on the back of a five-fold increase in Outright's turnover since its acquisition in 2006.

Outright Distribution is investing in first look deals and investments with the launch of a significant new fund. The money will be available at the beginning of 2010, and will fund primarily UK and U.S. content. Outright is looking for factual entertainment series with returning potential as well as light entertainment and other unique projects. The plan was approved by the Board of Shed Media PLC on the back of a five-fold increase in Outright’s turnover since its acquisition in 2006.
In other Outright news, the company has hired Claudia Danser as EVP, sales and coproductions, Europe. She brings experience from eight years in senior sales positions at BBC Worldwide, and most recently was vice president format licensing, EMEA at BBC Worldwide .
