Martial arts expert, blues guitar aficionado, law enforcer and now cable ratings record holder – Steven Seagal has developed quite the C.V. A&E’s two-episode premiere of Steven Seagal: Lawman brought in 3.5 million total viewers and 2.0 million viewers adults 18-49 and 25-54 on Wednesday night, making it the most-watched original series launch in the network’s history among all key demos. Also, there was viewer growth between the two episodes, with the 10pm episode bringing in 3.4 million and the 10:30 episode notching up 3.6 million. The shows came on the back of A&E’s popular Hoarders, which enjoyed a short-lived period as the net’s best ever season opener for an original series among adults 18-49 and 25-54. Lawman is produced by ITV Studios (formerly Granada America) and Steamroller Productions for A&E.
