Three things you didn’t know about…

After leaving her previous position as head of documentaries for Granada Television 18 months ago, Sarah Murch joined Blakeway Productions (a Ten Alps company) to set up their Manchester office, Blakeway North. Murch took some time out of her busy schedule as executive producer at Blakeway to tell realscreen about her childhood growing up alongside Prince Charles.

Murch took some time out of her busy schedule as executive producer at Blakeway to tell realscreen about her childhood growing up alongside Prince Charles.

1. I once pitched an access documentary following Simon Cowell (before he was famous) launching a new girl band. ITV turned it down! Oh, and the band flopped!

2. I went to primary school with Prince Charles. (Sadly not the royal one, but I often wonder how life panned out for him saddled with that name).

3. I’m a sucker for good American drama. My secret guilty pleasure is hot dates with Sky Plus. In Treatment, House, 30 Rock, Californication, Ugly Betty, Desperate Housewives and The Wire – I’m hooked on ‘em all!
