Zed nabs TVFI export award

The sixth annual TV France International Export Awards were handed out on Monday in Paris, and Becoming a Woman in Zanskar was named the documentary winner.

The sixth annual TV France International Export Awards were handed out on Monday in Paris, and Becoming a Woman in Zanskar, produced by Zed for France 5, SWR, Equator TV, RTBF, RTSI, SF DRS and YLE and distributed by Zed, was named the documentary winner. European broadcasters airing the doc, excluding France and as monitored by Médiamétrie, included Austria (ORF2), Belgium (La2), The Netherlands (Nederland2), Portugal (RTP2), Spain (K3-33, La 2, Odisea and Natura), Switzerland (TSR2 and TSI2). The total cume audience for the broadcasts was 3,757,400. Austria delivered the strongest audience share with 21% among all viewers on ORF2. The program has been sold into 50 territories including Discovery HD Canada and World (excluding the U.S.), Discovery Asia and RAI.
