The Idol chatter has been confirmed and American Idol judge Simon Cowell will be leaving the series to join Fox’s U.S. version of The X Factor. Cowell, who created the mega-popular talent show in the UK in 2004, will serve as judge and executive producer on the stateside The X Factor in 2011.
