OWN to deliver series looking behind-the-scenes of Oprah’s last season

When OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network launches in January 2011 it will debut a primetime one-hour docu-series looking behind-the-scenes at the last season of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The channel has also announced four new programs in development.

When OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network launches in January 2011 it will debut a primetime one-hour docu-series looking behind-the-scenes at the last season of The Oprah Winfrey Show. The channel has also announced four new programs in development.

OWN’s docu-series looking behind-the-scenes at the last season of The Oprah Winfrey ShowBehind the Scenes: Oprah’s 25th Season – will feature unprecedented access to Harpo, the lives of the staff, the edit rooms and green rooms and the core staff from various departments as they navigate the last days of the show. Throughout the series Oprah will share her personal reflections on her series.

In addition, OWN has four new primetime series in development including Kid-napped(w/t) which lets kids turn the tables on workaholic parents, ‘kidnapping’ the parent and banning them from work to enforce quality time. The one-hour series is a UK format produced by Love Productions. Also in devlopment are Miracle Detectives(w/t) where two investigators look into different miracles by Pilgrim TV and Film; Search(w/t) featuring three people from diverse backgrounds using the help of search specialist and New Jersey housewife Pam Slaton to help find someone they love and produced by Stuart Krasnow Productions and Sentenced(w/t) set in a maximum security prison in Rockville, Indiana following the lives of the women behind bars which is produced by 44 Blue.
