Endemol names EVP of acquisitions for North America

Endemol has announced the appointment of Philippe Maigret as executive vice president, acquisitions, North America.

Endemol has announced the appointment of Philippe Maigret as executive vice president, acquisitions, North America. Maigret will be responsible for expanding Endemol’s portfolio in North America. There will be a focus on scripted programming, but he is he also charged with identifying and securing distribution rights to programs, formats and libraries across genres including drama, comedy, reality, sport and entertainment. Maigret’s tasks will also include developing distribution, financing and coproduction partnerships with US producers in collaboration with Endemol USA, Endemol Worldwide Distribution and Endemol Group’s global format operation. Maigret was formerly senior vice president, business strategy and development at Disney ABC ESPN Television International. He will begin his new role in March, working out of the L.A. office and reporting to Endemol Group CCO Tom Toumazis.
