Zodiak Entertainment has upped the head of its in-house digital arm to chief digital officer across its unscripted and formats business. Marco Ferrari, currently president and managing director of Zodiak’s Neo Network, will now head up a team based in London within Zodiak Entertainment’s creative unit, Grand Zentral, charged with the development and execution of Zodiak’s group-wide digital strategy. ‘The television industry will change a lot in the coming years as the digital revolution accelerates every day,’ said Ferrari. ‘This means the way we develop shows has to change as well, looking for new ways to interact with viewers and build new revenue streams.’ Ferrari guided Neo Network from a small start-up to its current position in Europe’s digital entertainment market, with a turnover in 2009 of close to €25 million. With his new position he will report to the company’s SVP of entertainment, Giorgio Gori.
