After hosting the most successful Realscreen Summit in the event’s history, the realscreen team is now working hard on its next major event for the year, the Factual Entertainment Forum (FEF). The second annual FEF will once again take place in sunny Santa Monica, June 2 and 3, 2010.

This year, we’re excited to announce that Original Productions’ CEO and Executive Producer Thom Beers is going to be heading up the advisory board. As the driving force behind the primetime Emmy-winning Deadliest Catch, Ice Road Truckers, and top-rated shows such as Monster Garage and Black Gold, Beers has created a unique brand of television programming featuring unheralded heroes in high risk, high reward situations. With Beers and the board providing content ideas, delegates are surely going to be treated to relevant, informative and entertaining sessions.

A new feature of the Factual Entertainment Forum is the Factual Entertainment Awards presentation on June 3rd. The call for entries is now closed for the industry’s first truly global celebration of factual entertainment excellence. Chairing the jury of judges for this year’s inaugural awards ceremony are Rob Sharenow, SVP, Non-Fiction & Alternative Programming, A&E Network and Chris Coelen who was most recently CEO, RDF Media USA.

Registration for the event is now open. For more information, including agenda and speaker updates, please visit the official FEF site.
