RTS announces shortlist for Programme Awards

The Royal Television Society (RTS) has announced the shortlist for the Programme Awards 2009, which honors all genres of television programming.

The Royal Television Society (RTS) has announced the shortlist for the Programme Awards 2009, which honors all genres of television programming. Included amongst the shortlisted programs are Famous, Rich and Homeless by Love Productions for BBC One, The World’s Strictest Parents by Twenty Twenty Television for BBC Three and Victorian Farm by Lion Television for BBC Two in the category of Constructed Factual Series. Also, The Force, an Oxford Film and Television production for Channel 4; True Stories – Afghan Star, a Roast Beef production for More4 and Wounded by BBC Productions for BBC One were shortlisted under the Documentary category. 1066 – The Battle for Middle Earth by Hardy Pictures for Channel 4, Garrow’s Law by Twenty Twenty Television for BBC One and Iran and the West by Brook Lapping Productions for BBC Two were shortlisted under History. The awards, which are chaired by Wayne Garvie, will be presented on March 16 at the Grosvenor Hotel in London. Click here for the full shortlist.
