The new deadline to apply to pitch during the 6th Annual Co-Production Challenge, presented by ReedMIDEM and realscreen, is Thursday, March 4, 2010. The challenge seeks original projects in the factual genre with the best potential for development across TV, the Internet and all other media. Chosen pitchers will present their projects to the jury, chaired by Nick Fraser, series editor for BBC Storyville, during MIPDoc in Cannes. This year’s jury includes Claire Aguilar, vice president of programming, ITVS; Julie Bristow, executive director, factual, CBC; Lorenzo Hendel, Director, RAI-Radiotelevisione Italiana and Michael Katz, vice president, programming and production, AETN International. The jury will be looking for innovative approaches to storytelling, production and distribution, with a focus on concept, uniqueness, distribution, inventiveness, and individual ingredients such as vision, passion, drive and inspiration.
