Discovery Communications’ global portfolio has just grown with the announcement that female-skewing TLC will debut internationally in Norway on March 4. TLC, one of the fastest growing female lifestyle channels in the U.S., will be available on the Canal Digital, GET and Lyse platforms in Norway, and will be launched with a countdown to the launch of LA Ink with series star Kat Von D at a VIP event in Oslo. After Norway, TLC will roll out to more than 75 markets, with a reach of more than 100 million households by Spring 2011, making it the most widely distributed female lifestyle channel brand in pay-TV.
