Sparks Network to shop Battle of the Blades globally

Stockholm-based format developer/distributor Sparks Network is now distributing Battle of the Blades, an ice skating competition series produced by Insight Productions for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC).

Stockholm-based format developer/distributor Sparks Network is now distributing Battle of the Blades, an ice skating competition series produced by Insight Productions for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). The show, which pairs ice hockey stars with Olympic and world champion figure skaters, was a breakout hit for the CBC, with the 14-episode run turning in a weekly average of 1.5 million viewers. Sparks will be bringing the format to MIPTV, and the CBC has confirmed it will be airing a second season.
