Simon Cowell to receive International Emmy Founders Award

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences has announced that Simon Cowell will receive the International Emmy Founders Award. Cowell has developed formats under his prodco Syco, like the Got Talent format and X Factor, which can be seen in more than 70 countries around the world. The Academy cites Cowell's accomplishments as having reshaped 21st century television and music around the world. He will receive the 2010 International Emmy Founders Award at the 38th International Emmy Awards Gala, on November 22, 2010 in New York City.
