Global entertainment company Endemol has launched a new division, Endemol Worldwide Brands, in order to extend its IP across multiple platforms.

Global entertainment company Endemol has launched a new division, Endemol Worldwide Brands, in order to extend its IP across multiple platforms. The new division will be tasked with licensing and merchandising initiatives as well as investment in product development and creating games applications and social gaming sites. The division will also work closely with Endemol’s international companies in coordinating and supporting the group’s branded entertainment endeavors. The division will be headed up by newly appointed CEO Olivier Gers, formerly general manager, FremantleMedia Licensing Worldwide and an SVP at IMG. As well, Joerg Bachmaier, formerly SVP, digital media & business development at Endemol USA and a recent panelist for the 2010 Realscreen Summit’s transmedia ’21st Century Factual’ session, has been appointed as SVP/GM Americas at Endemol Worldwide Brands. More appointments are to be announced.
