Social network exec Joanna Shields, formerly president of Bebo and most recently brought on board for Shine Group’s ShineVu digital content initiative, has left Shine for Facebook. Shields will join Facebook as the VP of sales and business development for Europe, Middle East and Africa, just six months after joining Shine. Reports say that she will remain non-executive chairman of ShineVu, with no immediate plans for a replacement. Elisabeth Murdoch sent a note to Shine’s staff, alerting them to the change and asserting her commitment to continue with ShineVu.
