Sky goes 3D with Sir David Attenborough

Prior to the launch of Sky 3D, Europe's first 3D TV channel, Sky has announced its first original 3D commission. Written and presented by Sir David Attenborough, Flying Monsters 3D will be a documentary by Atlantic Productions about the prehistoric world. The film will premiere on Sky 3D later this year and will have theatrical large format and IMAX releases after the television airing. VFX studio ZOO will lead the team utilizing 3D technology and CGI effects. The film, which will look at flying vertebrates from over 200 million years ago, was commissioned for Sky 3D by Celia Taylor, head of factual and features at Sky, and will be produced by Anthony Geffen, CEO of Atlantic Productions.
