4Rights expands development team

Channel 4's rights exploitation arm, 4Rights, has announced two key appointments to the development team.

Channel 4′s rights exploitation arm, 4Rights, has announced two key appointments to the development team. Dominic Schreiber fills the newly created role of rights development manager and Ashley Smith will become project manager, rights development. Both will report to Mike Morris, managing director of 4Rights. Schreiber was most recently VP, press & publicity for BBC Worldwide Channels. In his role at 4Rights he will work closely with indie producers and rights holders to help finance and develop new and existing properties for Channel 4. 4Rights will then look to manage and exploit these properties through 4DVD, live events, books, publishing and UK secondary sales. Schreiber will also look to build co-financing and development partnerships with U.S. networks and producers, as well as relationships with ad agencies and brands. Smith was most recently product manager at 4DVD, 4Right’s DVD distribution business.
