Autentic to distribute PBS German-language catalog

Beta-Film joint venture Autentic has announced it will exclusively represent the PBS catalog within German speaking Europe. Autentic will be distributing the entire PBS catalog for Germany, Austria and German-speaking Switzerland, announced in Cannes. The agreement gives Autentic several thousand hours of programming by PBS, including the science series ‘Nova’, ‘Frontline’ and the historical series ‘American Experience’. The distribution company acquires the Pay and Free TV rights as well as the DVD exploitation of the productions. Additionally, the company has acquired the international distribution rights for Red Bull Media House’s film and TV titles, which include documentaries in the travel and culinary arts genre and a two-part documentary on the Vienna Boys’ Choir.
