Al Jazeera and La Sexta picks up CABLEready’s programming

CABLEready has announced a new licensing agreement with Al Jazeera for documentary series and programs that will air on the network's documentary channel.

CABLEready has announced a new licensing agreement with Al Jazeera for documentary series and programs that will air on the network’s documentary channel. Titles include Fire & Ice, a one-hour doc on how Finland helped change the course of what would become World War II; Multiples, Multiples, a four-part one-hour series that looks at families of multiples; Stunt Stars, a 10-part one-hour series about stunt men and women, and Billion Dollar Disasters, a five-part one-hour series that examines instances of man vs. weather. Additionally, CABLEready has announced that Spain broadcaster La Sexta has acquired the rights to 10 new episodes of Dominick Dunne’s Power and Justice, which airs on TruTV in the U.S. The Madrid broadcaster, in a renewal of its licensing deal with CABLEready, has also picked up the first 48 episodes of the series, as well as several episodes of Forensic Files.
