Director Michael Bay (Transformers, Pearl Harbor) is teaming with LA-based Magical Elves (Top Chef, Kell on Earth) to produce a new reality series entitled One Way Out.

The series will be an adventure reality series that pits competitors against each other in extreme physical challenges. The competition will focus on trust and betrayal as each contestant will also have a secret past they must keep hidden from their competitors.

Each week contestants will learn to adapt to new hostile environments. This is Bay’s first foray into reality TV production. ‘For my first television project I wanted to do something that had never been done before,’ said Bay in a statement, ‘and I believe that One Way Out accomplishes that.

‘Combining unique twists, death-defying challenges, and stunning visuals, we are reinventing the genre, showing just how far people will go when they are stripped of their bare necessities and forced to do whatever it takes to survive.’

Bay and Magical Elves are both represented by William Morris Endeavor and are currently looking for networks to come on board with the program.
