Michael Klein, most recently SVP of content for Travel Channel, has left to pursue other opportunities. ‘I’m enormously proud of my work with the Travel Channel,’ Klein told realscreen, pointing to ‘a record breaking 2009 with prime and total day at all-time highs,’ and the channel gaining the youngest median age in its history. ‘People are now talking about Travel Channel in a whole new way. I feel very fortunate to have played a part in it.’ ‘During his tenure, Michael provided leadership and continuity through the transitions this network has gone through – first with the shift from Discovery ownership and now with the move into the Scripps Networks family,’ said Scripps Networks via a statement. ‘We have begun a search for a top programmer to join our leadership team, to help lead our content development process and to ensure a heightened focus on how we approach the Travel category.’
