Shaftesbury snags former Discovery and CCI Entertainment execs

Canadian prodco Shaftesbury Films has announced the expansion of its management team with two new senior appointments. Former Discovery Networks International executive Katherine Wolfgang has been appointed to the newly created role of VP, communications while former CCI Entertainment exec Gord McIlguham has been named SVP, finance. In her new role Wolfgang will oversee the communications strategy as well as the global industry profile of the company. Before joining Discovery, where Wolfgang was most recently VP, international communications, she held a variety of communications and marketing roles at Astral Media's The Movie Network and Family Channel in Toronto. McIlquham will oversee finances for Shaftesbury including corporate finance, treasury, tax and operations. Previously McIlquham was lead financial officer at CCI Entertainment, and prior to that role he was VP of finance for Fireworks Entertainment. Both Wolfgang and McIlquham start immediately and are based in Shaftesbury's Toronto office.
