National Geographic Channels International has commissioned 13 new episodes for a second season of Mystery Files from producer, Parthenon Entertainment. The new series will air on National Geographic Channel in 2011. Filmed in HD, the series combines reenactments with forensic advancements and unearthed evidence to examine the truth behind some of history’s most iconic or notorious figures. ‘Mystery Files has achieved outstanding results for National Geographic Channel with its in-depth investigation into fact versus fiction behind individuals whose legendary feats – or faults – have captivated and perhaps even fooled, people for generations,’ said Sydney Suissa, NGCI’s EVP of content. ‘NGCI is pleased to partner with Parthenon Entertainment on a second season of the series.’
