Rainbow Media launches WE tv in Taiwan

Rainbow Media is continuing its roll out in Asia with the announcement that it has secured licensing from Taiwan's National Communications Commission (NCC) to launch the channel in the country. This move opens the door to Taiwanese operators looking for a channel dedicated to women's programming, and follows on the heels of WE tv's launches in Hong Kong, Korea and Singapore. WE tv - via its dedicated MEASAT 3a feed - is available for launch in Taiwan both in high and standard definition, and in English with traditional Mandarin subtitles.
