Science Channel names VPs of programming and production

Science Channel has announced two appointments to its team with the addition of Dexter Cole as vice president of programming and Bernadette McDaid as vice president of production.

Science Channel has announced two appointments to its team with the addition of Dexter Cole as vice president of programming and Bernadette McDaid as vice president of production. Cole will oversee the programming and schedule strategy for the Science Channel while also acquiring programming, while McDaid will oversee the network’s production team internally and manage relationships with external production partners. Both Cole and McDaid will report to Debbie Myers, general manager and executive vice president of programming of Science Channel. Cole was most recently VP of research for TV One and was previously at Discovery Communications as VP, TLC Research. McDaid has been an EP and development executive at Darlow Smithson, InVision Productions, Lion Television, Powderhouse and Diverse and served as a senior producer and director for BBC.
