Wildscreen announces Panda Awards finalists

Wildscreen 2010 has announced the 58 finalists for its Panda Awards, celebrating the best in environmental and wildlife filmmaking.

Wildscreen 2010 has announced the 58 finalists for its Panda Awards, celebrating the best in environmental and wildlife filmmaking. Among the multiple nominees are the BBC and Discovery co-production Life (with episodes up for awards in cinematography, editing, sound and music); Off the Fence’s Monkey Thieves: Searching for Sanctuary (up for the UWE’s Children’s Choice Award as well as best editing and popular broadcast program nods); the Ammonite-National Geographic Channels International-NGC coproduction Night of the Lion (up for best cinematography as well as the Parthenon Entertainment Award for Innovation) and Into the Dragon’s Lair from NHU Africa and Animal Planet (up for the Animal Planet International People & Animals Award as well as the Films at 59 Sound Award). Nominees for the theatrical award include multiple nominee The End of the Line (The Fish Film Company, Dartmouth Films, Calm Productions & Arcane Pictures); At the Edge of the World (WealthEffectMedia); The Crimson Wing: Mystery of the Flamingos (Disneynature, Natural Light Films & Kudos Pictures).
